Pineapple Express Strain Guide: Genetics, Terpenes & Buying Tips
Pineapple Express is a sativa-dominant hybrid loved for its sweet tropical aroma and upbeat, energizing character, which makes it a go-to for daytime use. This guide walks through its genetics, terpene profile, and the formats you will find on the shelf, so you can pick a product that matches how you actually plan to use it. If you are shopping for a CBD-forward version, the same rules apply: read the label, check the batch report, and buy from a seller who publishes both.

Materials and Specs
Pineapple Express is a cross of Trainwreck and Hawaiian, and its flavor comes from terpenes rather than added flavoring. In flower form you are looking at cured buds with a dense, slightly resinous structure and a green-to-gold appearance with orange pistils. Extracts and vape oils should list the extraction method, carrier ingredients if any, and the cannabinoid breakdown per batch. For CBD-forward products, confirm that the label states CBD content per serving and that a third-party certificate of analysis is available for the exact lot number on your package.
Shipping and Returns
Orders ship in discreet, plain packaging, usually within one to two business days, with tracking provided. Unopened products can typically be returned within a set window if the seal is intact, and any item that arrives damaged or incorrect is replaced at no cost. Check the individual product page for that item's specific window and conditions.
Is Pineapple Express a sativa or an indica?
It is a sativa-dominant hybrid, generally described as roughly 60/40 sativa to indica, which is why users report an energetic rather than heavy character.
What does Pineapple Express smell and taste like?
The aroma is sweet and fruity with pineapple and mango up front, backed by citrus and a faint cedar or pine note from its terpenes.
Can I get a CBD-only version?
Yes. Some producers offer CBD-dominant extracts and tinctures inspired by this strain's terpene profile, so verify the cannabinoid panel before buying.
